Reference Guide Member Manager MEMBER MANAGER CONFIGURATION AND SETUP Member List

Configuring Member List

The member list in the Member Manager provides quick access to all member functions.  You can configure the member list, so that it performs optimally in your environment.

Launch the Member List Setup by Right-Mouse-Clicking anywhere in the member list.

The Member List Setup has two tabs, one for Appearance and one for Filtering.

Appearance

Each member will have a colored square icon beside their name.  The color of the icon represents the type of member (member, guest, reciprocal or visitor).  Select colors for each type to suit your preference.

Filtering

There are three options for setting the Default Filter:

  1. None: Will return a list of all records in the database.  This may be undesirable, because it will display every record in the database, including deleted members etc.
  2. Custom Query: May be useful if the filter by member type and status does not fulfill your needs. Queries are set-up in the Query Manager.
  3. Filter by Member List and Status: Most likely the best option, as you will likely want to view only active members.

Search Box Empty

The Member Editor has a search box just above the member list.  You have two options for configuring the member list when a search is commenced.

  1. Populated with Specified Filter. This option will populate the member list with the default filter as configured above.  As you type ahead in the search box the list will be further filtered in accordance with the characters you enter.
  2. Left Empty.  The member list will be empty.  However as you type ahead in the search box, the list will be filtered in accordance with the characters you enter.
