How can I carry forward an unspent F&B Minimum?

Carry Forward Unspent Minimum Balance

Clubs that have F&B minimum spending requirements will occasionally accommodate members by allowing them to carry forward an unspent minimum balance to the next minimum period.  Following are instructions.

Setup

In the Inventory Manager in the section that contains Periodic Minimums, created a sub group structure:

• Periodic Minimums
  • Minimum Carry Forward (this group qualifies for minimums)
  • Minimum Carry Forward Reversal (this group does not qualify for minimums)

Next, create sales items in each group with the same description as the group name. Set the price to $0 and check Ask for Price?  Lastly add the items to the Member Billing Profile.

Process a Minimum Carry Forward Prior to Posting Unspent Minimums

Step 1

Process an invoice to the member’s account as described in the image below.

Step 2

Process an invoice to the member’s account on the first day of the next minimum period, that reverses the transaction above.

Process a Minimum Carry Forward if Unspent Minimums Have Been Posted

Step 1

Void the charge for unspent minimums to the member’s account.

Step2

The same as Step 2 above.
