Importing / Entering Data Into Buz Club Manager

Buz facilitates initial data entry with standard imports of data from your legacy system.  Importing of data is broken into 2 groups:

Start Up Data Pre Go Live

• Member roster
• Supplier roster
• Chart of accounts

Transactional Data Post Go Live

• Opening member aged account balances
• Unspent F&B minimums
• Opening gift certificate balances
• Opening member credit book balances
• Opening general journal entries
• Opening bank reconciliation
• Opening supplier balances
• Opening retail inventory

The sub-pages in this section will provide guidance on importing all of the above data.

General Instructions on Import Files

• All import files must be saved with the prescribed name in the folder on your file server C:\Buzsoftware\Imports
• All import files will be CSV files which can be created and saved using Excel or Google Sheets
• The format of the files must be exactly as specified in the documentation
• Numeric fields should be formatted with no $ of commas
• Alphanumeric or description fields should have no commas or single quotes
• When using Excel, fields with leading zeros, such as some zip codes and member account numbers can be formatted as such using the Custom formatting option in Excel.  If you reopen the file in Excel, the leading zeros will be removed.  Remember to reformat before saving the file.
