Quick Reference

In this section you can have a quick overview of all functions available in the text editor toolbar.

Common Toolbar Functions

Toolbar Element Function
View or edit the document source code (for advanced users). See Source Editor.
Preview a page.
Select a layout template. See Templates
Remove formatting of the selected text. 
Cut the highlighted text to the clipboard. See Cut, Copy and Paste.
Copy the highlighted text to the clipboard. See Cut, Copy and Paste.
Paste as plain text (without any formatting). See Cut, Copy and Paste.
Paste the data copied to the clipboard (with or without formatting). See Cut, Copy and Paste.
Undo or redo the most recent action taken. See Undo and Redo.
Find a word or phrase within the document. See Find and Replace.
Find and replace a word or phrase within the document. See Find and Replace.
Select the entire text in the document. See Text Selection
Spell check the text in the document. See Spell Checking.
Maximize the editor size within the browser. See Interface.
Highlight all block-level elements in the document. See Showing Document Blocks.
Insert a responsive template in the document. See Responsive Templates.
Applies bold, italic, underscore or strikethrough formatting to the highlighted text. See Font Styling.
Superscript or subscript the highlighted text. See Font Styling.
Creates numbered or bulleted lists. See Creating Lists.
Increase or decrease the text indentation. See Text Layout.
Format a block of text to identify quotations (text from other sources). See Text Layout.
Inserts a div. Use divs to edit specific content when creating your Custom Style Sheet. Requires some experience in CSS. See Text Layout.
Sets the text alignment (left, centered, right or justified). See Text Layout.
Text direction from left or right.
Converts or removes the text in hyperlinks. It may also by used to manage file uploads and links to files on the web server. See Links, E-Mails and Anchors.
Inserts or modifies a link anchor. See Links, E-Mails and Anchors
Creates an internal link quickly and easily. See Internal Links.
Inserts a data variable. Only available in creating and editing emails. See Data Variables.
Inserts images into the document. See Inserting Images.
Inserts slideshows into the document. See Slideshows.
Inserts a Youtube video into the document. See Youtube.
Inserts a Flash element through the file manager, a YouTube video, or a slideshow created in webCommunicator. See Inserting Flash
Creates a table with the defined number of columns and rows. See Tables.
Inserts a divider line (horizontal rule). See Horizontal Line.
Inserts an emoticons image (smiley faces, email icon, lightbulb, etc.). See Inserting Special Characters and Smileys.
Inserts symbols & special characters (accented characters, trademark, currency symbol, etc.). See Inserting Special Characters and Smileys.
Inserts a printing page break. Only impacts printed version. See Printing, Page Breaks.
Styles & formatting determine the appearance and semantic value of your document. You may use the drop down boxes to apply styles, set the font, its size, etc. To remove the applied style select the style name again.See Font Styling and Preset Formatting.
Changes the color of the text. See Text and Colours.
Changes the background color of the text. See Text and Colours.


Form Function

Creates a new email form in the page. See Creating Forms.
Inserts a checkbox to the form. See Creating Forms.
Inserts a radio button to the form. See Creating Forms.
Inserts a text field into the form. See Creating Forms.
Inserts a multi-line text area into the form. See Creating Forms.
Inserts a selection field into the form. See Creating Forms.
Inserts a form button into the form. See Creating Forms.
Inserts an image into the form, which behaves much like form button used to submit forms. Do not use it to insert plain images into the document. See Creating Forms.
