General

The following is a list of the fields and an explanation of the field characteristics, where applicable. In the image above, the mandatory fields have been configured to have a grey background.

An item in Blue implies a default mandatory field.

  • Member Type The choices for this field include Member, Guest, Reciprocal, Visitor, Green Fee, Hotel Guest, and Cash Customer.
  • Club ID This is the member account number which will be used by the member to charge to his/her account. The Member Manager will automatically assign the next number in the sequence; however, the operator can override the automatically assigned number and assign a number of choice. The Club ID can contain numbers and letters.
  • Username The Username will be used by Buz Software to identify the member for purposes of access to the Buz Reservation System and Buz WebCommunicator.
  • Card ID The Card ID is generated automatically based on the Club ID but can be modified.  This field will be used if the club provides scannable member cards to members for identification purposes. 
  • Password The Member Manager will automatically assign a password, which is the same as the Username. For security purposes, the operator should assign a password that is different than the Username.

  • Title Pick a suitable title from the drop-down list or add a new title on the fly.
  • Suffix Choose from the list or add the suffix on the fly.
  • Formal Name The system will automatically generate the formal name. The operator can override this value. The formal name will be used for mailing labels and the member statement of account.

  • Home Phone Includes a field for extension
  • Work Phone Includes a field for extension
  • Mobile Phone  
  • Fax Phone  
  • Other Phone  
  • Emergency Contact Emergency contact name
  • Emergency Phone Emergency contact phone number
  • Date of Birth Select using Calendar
  • Marriage Date Select Not Married if not applicable.
  • Bag Location Enter bag location.
  • Member From/To Select using Calendar. Use the To Date to automatically expire a membership on a specific date
  • Transport Option Select a transport option applicable to this member, which is used by the Golf Reservation System
