POS Options



The POS Options is divided into 4 sections

Operation (outlined in red)

  • Member Info Button Blink Rate (0 for none)(ms): If the Member Info button is enabled for POS, set the blink rate in milliseconds.
  • Show Member Info Button in Retail POS?: If enabled, the Member Info button will display in the Retail POS when there is a Member identified for a sale.
  • Style POS Buttons To Match Server Profile?: If enabled, the colors defined for the User in the Security Manager will be set on the majority of buttons in the POS after logging in.  This helps to identify who is currently logged into the POS.
  • Show Member Account Button?: If Enabled, the "Account" button will appear in the POS when there is an Member identified, this button will allow the processing of Member Account Payments at the POS.
  • Enable Cashbook on Accept Payment Screen?: If enabled, there will be an option to apply amounts to the identified Member's Cashbook.
  • Scroll To Bottom Of Grid When Adding POS Items: If enabled, when adding items to a chit in the POS, the chit will scroll to the bottom of the list.  Otherwise, the list will remain focused on the first item in the chit.
  • Auto Pop Up Member Info: If this option is selected, both retail and F&B POS will automatically, the Member Info screen, when a member has been selected from the member selector in POS.
  • Display Zero QOH Warning:  If this option is selected and the user selects an sales item from POS which is an inventory item and the QOH is zero or less, a warning message will pop up.

Member Search (outlined in blue)

  • Member Search Mode: If checked, when searching for Members in the POS, the search mechanism will only perform a starts with search, otherwise the search will be a contains search.
  • Last Name Search Only: If checked, when searching for Members in the POS, the search mechanism will only search for Member Last Names, otherwise searching will include the First Name and Last Name.
  • Replace Filter with Custom Query:  If this option is selected and a query applied, there will be a button on the member selector in POS, which will allow the clerk/server to override the default selector options with the custom query.  By way of an example, if there is a custom query for Men's Night members and this feature is enabled with that query for Men's Night, the servers will be able use the filter option to only select from the list of Men's Night members.  This will speed up selection and reduce mistakes.

Member Selector Options (outlined in green): 

If any of these options are checked, those Member Types will be included when searching for Members in the POS.

  • Show Members
  • Show Guests
  • Show Reciprocal
    • Collect Member Info:  If this is checked, when selecting a Reciprocal Member at the POS (normally another external Club), the user will be asked to enter the person's name.
    • Collect Extra Info:  If this is checked, when selecting a Reciprocal Member at the POS (normally another external Club), the user will be asked to enter the person's clubid or other unique identifier.
  • Show Visitors
  • Show Hotel Guests
  • Show Green Fee Players

Bing API Key (outlined in orange):

This allows the ability to search online using Microsoft Bing for images, to associate to Tender Method buttons and/or Inventory Item buttons that appear in the POS.  To acquire a key, a Microsoft Azure account is required.
