Custom Sections

Custom Sections is a great and easy way to add your own personal touches to your site. By inserting images and text elements, you have the ability to make your site completely unique.

In order to use the custom sections, Custom Images and Custom Sections must be enabled in the default settings for this profile. Any custom header, sidebar or footer created in Custom Sections will override the images uploaded in Custom Images. To insert background images for the different parts of your site design you have the choice of using Custom Images or your Style Sheet.

Custom Sections are limited only in width as determined by the default settings.

Creating Custom Sections

There are three content editor spaces in this section: Header, Sidebar, and Footer. Each editor works the same as the general page editor (see here for more details on the Text Editor). Content can be added within tables, through text, images or even flash presentations. Keep reading to learn about the sections available for editing.

  • Header: The Page Header appears at the top of the page. Make sure it is a maximum width of whatever you specified in general settings. Add images, flash presentations and text as needed.
  • Left Sidebar: Here you can place any content you would like to appear down the left sidebar of any page. If you are using a sidebar menu system and/or sign-in form, custom content will automatically be placed underneath. The sidebar background will still apply.
  • Right Sidebar: Here you can place any content you would like to appear down the right sidebar of any page. If you are using a sidebar menu system and/or sign-in form, custom content will automatically be placed underneath. The sidebar background will still apply.
  • Footer: The Footer appears at the bottom of every page. Once again, keep in mind that it's width is limited by your specified page size.
