Time Card Roles

Time Card Roles facilitates tracking of employees by role and pay rate.  This can be beneficial if employees perform multiple roles, each at different pay rates.  Tracking employee hours by role foster a deeper understanding of labor cost and performance.

Interface

Launch Time Card Roles from the Time and Attendance group.

Tool Bar (outlined in red)

The tool bar has the following options:

  • Edit
  • Save
  • Cancel
  • Add

Roles List (outlined in blue)

The roles list provides the following information about each role:

  • Name
  • Description
  • Pay Rate
  • Deleted (Checked = Yes)
  • Retail Profile
  • F&B Profile

Roles Details (outlined in green)

The details form is used to add or modify a role.

Role Management


Add a Time Card Role

To add a time card role click on the New button in the top level menu. Fill out the following fields:

  • Name
  • Description
  • Pay Rate (optional)
  • Retail Profile (optional)
  • F&B Profile (optional)

Click Save to save the time card role.

Notes:

  1. Assigning pay rates for each role, facilitates tracking and reporting on operational performance
  2. Assigning default profiles to each role, will ensure that the correct profile loads (based on the role being performed) when using the POS, regardless of which station is used.

Tip: If you have several employees performing the same role but at different pay rates, set up individual roles for each pay rate.  By way of example the roles may be Server 1, Server 2 etc.


Delete a Time Card Role

In order to delete a time card role, click on the Edit button and check off the box next to the Deleted option. Click Save. 

Assign a Time Card Role

Roles are assigned to employees in the Security Manager.
