To add sales items to a POS profile, the Profile Manager must have a profile selected in New or Edit mode.
- Add a Category. In the example above, the entire beverage category has been dragged onto the upper left hand corner of the POS grid. When a category is dragged onto the grid, all subcategories and sales item accompany it. This is the fastest way to, populate the POS grid.
- Add an Item. To add an individual sales item to the POS grid, navigate the Inventory Tree until the desired item is exposed, then drag the item onto the grid (example above).
- Add modifiers. For F&B profiles, preparation modifiers can be added to sales items by dragging the Modifier Group from the Modifier section onto the sales item. Multiple Modifier Groups can be dragged onto a single sales item but must be done one group at a time.
- Change Button Colors. It is often desirable to customize button colors to make it easier for servers to select similar items. To modify the color of a button for a sales category or a sales item, right mouse click on the button for which the color is to be changed.
Select either the Fore Color or Back Color and then select the desired color from the color palette provided.
- Delete Items. To delete a sales item or an entire sales category from the POS grid, right mouse click on the applicable button and select Delete.
- View Modifiers. To view the modifiers associated with a sales item, right-mouse-click on the sales item and select Modifiers.
Navigating the Sales Grid
As categories are added to the sales grid, the underlying items and categories can be viewed by clicking on the category button(s) until, the desired item is viewable. Once the screen is in view, items can be modified or deleted as described above. Navigating back can be accomplished by clicking on the Up One Level button.
