Overdue Account Charges
Clubs often charge interest or a service charge for member accounts that are overdue (usually 60 or 90 days).
Procedure for Overdue Account Charges
- From the Outlook bar, select Accounts Receivable (this feature is currently available from the Options menu and not the Outlook Bar).
- Next select A/R Service Charges from the Outlook Bar. The following form will appear.
Follow the steps below:
- Statement For. Select the start and end date for the statement period. In the example above the date range was September 1 to September 30.
- S/C Date. All overdue account balances prior to this date will be subject to service charge or interest.
- Refresh Statements. This will provide a list of members and overdue balances.
- Select All. By clicking this button, all members in the list will be selected. You can un-select a member by clicking on the check-box beside their name.
- Un-Select All. You can Un-Select all check-boxes and start over.
- Interest Rate. Select the interest rate to be applied to the overdue balances
- Calc Charges. Click this button to calculate the service or interest charge. The calculation will only apply to members who are checked-off. Review the list and check or un-check members to be charged.
- Post Date. Select the date on which the service or interest charges will be posted to the members' accounts.
- Post Charges. Once you have reviewed the list, click Post Charges to post to the members' accounts.
- Once you have completed the procedure, click Exit.
